Disconnect or request deletion
Disconnecting an account stops new SelectBNBs Media use of its Instagram grant, removes our usable access token, and cancels matching queued work that has not been attempted. A full deletion request asks us to identify and remove additional account-linked records that we control, subject to the current technical, security, and legal limits explained below.
- If you can sign in, open selectbnbsmedia.com/connect and use Disconnect Instagram for the relevant account.
- Email hi@selectbnbs.com with the subject delete my data. Include the business email or Instagram username needed to locate the record. Do not send a password, access token, government ID, or payment information.
- To remove the app's grant on Meta's side as well, use Instagram's Apps and Websites settings. That action is controlled by Meta and is separate from deleting our copy.
What happens next
We may ask for a safe account-ownership confirmation. We will explain which records can be removed, any minimum security, duplicate-prevention, dispute, or legal evidence that must remain, and the expected processing time. A message already sent through Meta cannot be retracted by deleting our records.
Current technical boundary
A signed Meta deletion callback now creates a durable request-specific confirmation and status URL, cancels unattempted work, and erases the matching provider-linked live records described above. The independently created owner email account is not silently deleted by a provider-scoped request. Minimum duplicate-prevention hashes, unattributable webhook hashes, support/legal records, prior backup copies, and data controlled by Meta are not represented as erased. Email requests are handled as scoped operator work and confirmed against the actual stores affected.
Confirmation and questions
We will report the completed scope and any retained minimum record to the verified contact channel. Questions can be sent to hi@selectbnbs.com.
